Description
The Fulltone OCD V2 takes the foundation of the original OCD and brings a few thoughtful updates to meet the demands of modern pedalboards. It still delivers that wide-open, amp-like drive the OCD is known for, dynamic, harmonically rich, and sensitive to how hard you dig in. The V2 keeps the same MOSFET-based clipping that gives it a distinctive feel, but adds a new Class A JFET input stage for improved clarity and a better match with both single coils and humbuckers.
One of the most useful updates here is the addition of an output buffer that helps preserve your tone in more complex setups, especially when dealing with loopers or long chains of pedals. There's also an internal switch that lets you choose between Fulltone's "Enhanced Bypass"(similar to Buffered Bypass but with Fulltone's proprietary tech) or True Bypass, depending on how you want the pedal to interact with your rig. Whether you're running it into a clean amp for edge-of-breakup tones or stacking it with other drives for more saturated sounds, the OCD V2 remains a reliable, great-sounding tool with some added flexibility that makes it even easier to integrate into just about any setup.
