The Godin A12 is an acoustic-electric 12-string with a unique design and exceptional playability. The build of an "A" series guitar from Godin is thin, braced un-ported top over a heavily chambered back piece with a high quality pickup and preamp system factory installed. The result is a guitar that produces a resonant and woody acoustic tone when played through a good amp or PA system that's lighter, thinner and less prone to feedback than the average standard acoustic electric guitar. The "A" series guitars feature a bolt on maple neck and lighter string gauge which yields playability more like an electric guitar than a traditional acoustic. The A12 might be the best playing and most ergonomic 12 string acoustic electric on the market. It's got a wonderful clean chime like sound with a little bit of "jangle" depending on how you play it. The proprietary electronics system offers very high fidelity sound and doesn't break up, even with the most aggressive strumming. A solid cedar top and a genuine lacquer finish are the highlights of this exceptional Godin guitar!
