Crafted with a laminated maple body and shaped with vintage-inspired perimeters and arches, the G5420T is undeniably classy. Its all-new trestle block bracing serves two functions: it dramatically reduces unwanted noise and feedback, and it adds attack, snap, and sustain to your playing by increasing contact between the top and back of the body. Gretsch veterans will approve of the updated Classic "C" shaped maple neck that feels familiar in hand, but makes it easier to pull off dexterous solos and rapid chord changes.
The G5420T Electromatic Classic comes equipped with two FT-5E FilterTron humbuckers that complement its natural, full-bodied resonance wonderfully. These humbuckers can dial in a tone for any performance setting, thanks to the updated control layout that includes a Master volume with a treble bleed circuit, a master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-position pickup toggle switch.
