Description
This is the Country Gentleman model G6122-1962 from Gretsch's Professional Collection. This guitar is constructed in the style of the classic "Gents" of the early 1960s. It features all the bells & whistles developed by Mr. Chet Atkins along with the ambitious designers at Gretsch. The ’62 spec Gent features simulated F-holes, “zero” fret and a rocking bar bridge. Gretsch slightly redesigned the dual mute system and it functions flawlessly. The modern tone switch circuitry used on new Gretsch guitars is also perhaps an improvement on the original designs with more useful tone roll-off settings. The guitar is all Pro-series Gretsch with perfect playability and neck angle and classic warm tones. The FilterTrons are bright and snappy with deep bass response and great vintage character. They sound great when played clean or with a bit of overdrive as well. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer. About B-Stock:
This is a “new old stock” B-stock Gretsch guitar. The guitar is essentially new, but has some light finish hazing throughout the instrument. This hazing is only visible in direct light, and therefore does not affect the overall look of the instrument. The guitar weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and the serial number is JT14010286, which dates the guitar to 2014. The guitar will ship as shown in the photographs with a complete professional setup.
