The guitar is in nearly mint condition but does show evidence of being carefully handled and played a few times in our showroom. The guitar will ship as shown with full warranty and all the original factory documentation and packaging. We are authorized to give a great deal on our demo model Gretsch guitars! This is the new G6136-55 Vintage Select edition White Falcon from the Gretsch Professional Series. In 1955 Gretsch premiered what they would bill as the most luxurious guitar ever made, the model 6136 White Falcon. The design was sensational and indeed over the top with gold sparkle binding throughout and bejeweled control knobs. The G6136-55 is the most authentic recreation of the original ’55 spec Falcon ever offered from the Gretsch professional series!
1955 Falcon features are recreated yet improved upon here in the new G6136-55. This is the top of the line Falcon equipped with TV Jones T-Armond pickups and a genuine aged white nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This model recreates the look, sound and feel of an original '55 but with modern dependability and durability. The new TV Jones T-Armond is the most spot on recreation of the original DeArmond pickup ever made. The tone is clear and strong with tremendous bass response that's very clean and musical and has an articulate top end that's bright and snappy without a hint of "brittle" tone. The guitar is perfect for vintage style country western and rockabilly but is also well suited for many music styles. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer. A pair of TV Jones® T-Armond single-coil pickups and the new Gretsch “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors power this sonic raptor for crystal-clear transparent tone that lets the soul of the guitar’s definitive hollowbody tone shine through. The Synchro-Sonic™ bridge not only lends original-era authenticity, it offers pinpoint intonation accuracy, locking into place with a thumbscrew for tool-free adjustment. Parallel tone bars reinforce the solid spruce top mated to laminated maple back and sides for powerful, balanced sound and increased projection from the 2.75”-deep body. The 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and elegant mother-of-pearl hump block and feather inlays tops a maple neck with a comfortably familiar standard “U”-shaped profile for supple playability, making complex chords and intricate single-note playing effortless.
The White Falcon drips with sophisticated class, sporting shining gold hardware—including the iconic Cadillac “G” tailpiece and gold jeweled arrow knobs—gold sparkle bound neck, body and F Holes, gleaming vintage white gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and gold, vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo.
