The D-240E is a Dreadnought-shaped acoustic-electfic with a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and an arched back, delivering the rich, full-bodied sound that strikes a great tonal balance. Guild's D-240E's time-honored tonewood combination of solid spruce with mahogany yields a classic dreadnought boom in the low-end, with plenty of mid and high-end clarity brought about specifically from the guitar's Sitka spruce. And thanks to Fishman-designed AP-1 electronics, it's easy to plug in and play whether you're in studio, on stage, or on your couch. From top to bottom, Guild's D-240E is a rock-solid dreadnought acoustic-electric.
