Description
Hofner's 1963 Violin Bass Artist exudes quality craftsmanship in every facet of its design. This Artist series violin bass is a new model for 2020, and features a new efficient production method to offer this piece of history at a more affordable price than ever before. Based on the 500/1 from 1963, this bass has two "staple" pickups, "2-on-a-strip" machine heads, a fully-fledged hollow body and a short scale neck. While all of these hallmarks contribute to a great playing experience, this 500/1 reissue's flamed maple back/sides, mother of pearl pickguard and control panel, and Sunburst finish all make for a classic, authentic look. Handmade in Germany, Hofner's Violin Bass Artist delivers vintage vibe, top-notch in-hand feel, and dazzling aesthetics at an affordable price.
