Description
Inspired by the original 1965 model, the Hofner 500/2 Club Bass embodies its predecessor’s sound and style while carrying on Hofner’s timeless integrity and playability. This specific model is one of the last few built and will soon no longer be available. This hollow body bass starts with a marvelously resonant spruce top paired with flame maple back and sides, a combination that produces not only excellent natural tone, but a beautifully figured aesthetic as well. A pair of Hofner Staple pickups provide a generous amount of warm and woody tone, all controlled by a simple set of on/off switches and volume controls so it is incredibly easy to get dialed in. Rounded out with an easy-playing C shape neck, dark rosewood fingerboard and white pearl pickguard and plate, this bass is a full package of tone, look, and playability.
