What really sets this apart is the Sonitech S preamp system-you get master volume, balancer, 3-band EQ, plus a unique 2-way Hexa mid system on the back that gives you six different mid-frequency points to dial in. The EQ bypass switch lets you flip between active and passive modes, and that 3-way mid-frequency switch up front gives you quick access to different voicings mid-song. The thin C-profile roasted maple neck feels fast and stable, while the Super All Access neck joint makes those upper frets actually usable.
We've found these Mode series basses to be exceptionally well-built for the price range.
