The KEX - X Series Kelly starts with a lightweight poplar body that projects a great, balanced tone, making it excellent for a wide range of aggressive genres. Despite the brutal shape of the body, it's surprisingly comfortable whether you're seated or standing, thanks to its ergonomic contours and excellent weight distribution.
The KEX - X Series Kelly sports a lightning-fast maple neck with a through-body design, giving it truckloads of sustain and an excellent in-hand feel. Its 12" - 16" compound radius laurel fingerboard flattens out in the upper register, making high-speed runs, wide string bends, and massive vibrato much easier.
Powering this beast is a pair of Jackson high-output humbuckers that churn out a wide array of crushing tones. These pickups produce beefy lows, snarling mids, and cutting highs, making them perfect for hardcore music. If you're looking for a little more sonic versatility, though, don't worry - the KEX - X Series Kelly has controls for master volume and master tone, as well as a 3-way toggle pickup switch that opens up an extensive palette of top-notch sounds.
