Designed with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, this 7-string is purpose-built for progressive metal, djent, and high-performance players who need tight response and reliable tuning, especially when tuned down.
The MM1 humbuckers, designed by Mansoor himself, strike a balance between clarity and punch, with a brighter-than-usual edge thanks to the uncovered design. The 5-way switching and push/pull tone control give you more tonal flexibility than you'd expect from a dual-humbucker setup. At the core of it all is the EverTune F7 bridge, which keeps the tuning rock solid regardless of how hard you play or what tuning you're using-a huge win for studio and live setups.
Playability is the real standout here. A 26.5" scale length keeps the low strings tight, while the 20" radius ebony board with rolled edges and 24 jumbo stainless steel frets plays like glass. The caramelized maple neck has an oiled finish that feels broken in, and the graphite reinforcement adds durability without adding weight. Luminlay side dots and a heel-mount truss rod adjust wheel round out the thoughtful design. We've had a few come through, and they always punch above their price in terms of how well they're dialed in from the factory.
