Description
The JAM Pedals Harmonious Monk mk.2 takes everything players loved about the original and expands on it in a way that feels genuinely useful. If you're a tremolo player who wants both classic, amp-style feel and modern flexibility, this version does both really well. Built with That Pedal Show, it's still 100% analog and lush-sounding, but mk.2 adds tap tempo, ramping speed control, and three selectable waveforms to cover way more sonic ground.
One of the biggest upgrades here is the Tap & Ramp mode. Tap your tempo with the right switch, and if you hold it, you'll ramp smoothly to a second speed that you set. It's incredibly expressive for live use, and the ramp time is adjustable too. Pair that with sine, square, and reverse sawtooth waveforms in both Harmonic and Amplitude modes, and you can move from subtle vintage textures to aggressive chopper-style trem with a few quick adjustments. There's also a Mix knob, onboard EQ for the wet signal, and an input gain trim, so it's equally at home on guitar, synth, or keys.
Even with all the flexibility, it's dead simple to dial in and plays nicely with a variety of rigs. The knobs respond predictably, the footswitches feel solid, and everything from light modulation to hard rhythmic cuts is easy to lock in. We've had great results using it in front of both clean and overdriven amps. For anyone looking to get more out of their tremolo sound without sacrificing analog feel, this one's easy to recommend.
