JHS Coyote Fuzz Pedal is a unique take on octave fuzz, built for players who feel like they have already tried everything out there. This one stands apart immediately, not based on the usual Octavia or Super Fuzz circuits, but instead a faithful recreation of the rare Moonrock Fuzz. It is a great fit for players chasing expressive, touch-sensitive fuzz that reacts to your playing rather than just sitting on top of it.
The entire pedal revolves around a single control that sweeps through three distinct textures. Fully counterclockwise, you get a gated swell effect where notes bloom in with a reversed, almost tape-like feel. Around noon, it lands in a rich, mid-forward fuzz that holds together well with chords and sits somewhere in Tone Bender territory. Fully clockwise, it shifts into an aggressive octave-up sound with strong harmonic content and that classic upper-register bite.
