Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a killer vintage Harmony in terms of both sound and style and plays beautifully from top to bottom. It is in excellent shape considering its age and shows only signs of lighter-than-average wear throughout. The real highlight of this guitar though, is its pair of DeArmond gold-foil pickups. In the neck, its sound is warm and full, yet carries on the inherent characteristics of its semi-hollow body construction beautifully with mild sustain and genuine woody character, while the bridge is bright with a high-mid chime that truly characterizes its vintage vibe. It features multi-ply binding throughout its neck and body, which perfectly frames its darker tones and warm color palette with white-aged-to-cream. The neck plays great, the body is still very clean for its age, and art deco tailpiece tops it all off with serious style.
Condition: This Harmony is in very good condition overall, especially for a guitar that’s nearing half a century old. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, scratches, and chips, but is still in fantastic shape for an instrument of its age. The frets show only light to mild wear, play great, and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
