A subtly elaborated version of the D15M, the D17M introduces a few minor additions and changes to provide a different tone dynamic and appearance. Instead of a mahogany top like the D15M, this model is outfitted with a solid Sitka Spruce top for a brighter high end and a shaded gloss top to better match the body color. Resurrecting the look of the early Style 17 guitars, it also includes a tortoise brown binding to round out the build. The D-17M features a booming Dreadnought body, great for belting big chords or clearly expressing intricate fingerpicking.
