Description
What makes this guitar special: The D'Aquisto Standard was produced in limited quantities in 1984 only & features a number of D'Aquisto's signature designs, including his original single point soundholes. A pair of specially designed Schaller humbuckers offers fat, jazzy tones with superior feedback resistance. With dimensions similar to the ES-175, the 16" body is comfortable to hold with a sleek 2 3/4" body depth. The 24 3/4" scale length makes fast runs and stretch chords fall more easily under the hand. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition overall with some noticeable play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some discoloration in the binding. The pickguard is missing & the bottom portion of the tailpiece is chipped off.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with sealed Fender tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, hollow maple body with 3-ply binding on the top & back. There's some light birdseye figuring in the body & the D'Aquisto-designed single-point F-holes are rather interesting. Rosewood tailpiece & compensated bridge on a floating base. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 11.1 oz.
Pickups: Schaller humbuckers. Bridge - 13.49K ohms; Neck - 8.74K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with rosewood knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
