This SSL-2 Vintage Flat Stratocaster Pickup is a great example of Seymour Duncan's stellar craftsmanship and is sure to make your Strat truly sing. Fit with flat alnico 5 rod magnets, this pickup was designed to pair well with modern guitars with a larger neck radius as well as players who use lighter gauge strings. The flat magnets on this pickup remove a bit of edge, giving it a wonderfully sweet, smooth tone, and the vintage output and brightness of this pickup sound great when ran through subtle overdrive or mildly distorted amp settings. When building this pickup, Seymour Duncan used the same materials as they did with their other vintage Fender-style single-coils. Period correct Forbon flatwork, hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets, and waxed and tinned cloth pushback hookup wires give this pickup vintage integrity.
