Its tonal character was designed to stay relatively clean, yet as it increases in gain, the more color and harmonic overtones saturate the signal. It was specifically created to push the front end of tube amps with a natural gain that has a warm, yet not muddy low end and a little extra sparkle in the top end, making it an excellent choice for those who want to add a touch of classic character without shifting the overall feel of their rig.
