The Spaceman Effects Voyager II Optical Tremolo in this special Gold Edition offers the same expressive, analog heart as its siblings-just dressed in a limited, eye-catching finish. Built around a fully analog, optical tremolo circuit, the Voyager II goes way beyond traditional volume chopping. It blends a dynamic tremolo engine with touch-sensitive expression control and a uniquely voiced, built-in overdrive you can run independently of the tremolo. Whether you're crafting ambient textures or need a responsive modulation with grit, this pedal has you covered.
Two waveform options-smooth triangle or choppy square-let you dial in the feel of the tremolo, while Speed and Strength controls handle depth and rate. What really sets it apart is the envelope section. In Fade mode, the tremolo fades out when you dig in and slowly fades back in, adding movement between your phrases. In Freq mode, the trem speed ramps with your picking intensity. The Envelope control adjusts how reactive the dynamics are, and turning it off gives you a more traditional trem. Meanwhile, the Gain, Level, and Filter controls shape the built-in overdrive circuit, offering everything from warm boost to fuzzy breakup.
This is a fully hand-wired, through-hole component pedal built in Portland, Oregon. It features soft-click true bypass switching, dual footswitches for tremolo and effect bypass, and a multi-function LED that tracks LFO rate and bypass status. We've tried it both as a standalone overdrive and as a dynamic tremolo in the middle of a signal chain-it's one of the most expressive and interactive pedals you'll find.
