The Strymon PCH X1 Active DI Isolator is built for players and engineers who want their signal to hit the console exactly the way it leaves their rig. If you are running guitar, bass, keys, modelers, or even a full pedalboard into a PA or interface, this is for you. It is phantom powered and transformer isolated, designed to keep your tone intact instead of reshaping it on the way to front of house.
The custom transformer and 2 MΩ input impedance keep your instrument feeling natural, while the frequency response stays flat from 10Hz to 80kHz. Translation, your low B stays tight and defined, and your top end stays open. You get a ground lift switch to eliminate hum, plus a three position high pass filter at 80Hz or 240Hz for cleaning up rumble or carving space in a dense mix. The non buffered Thru output lets you feed your amp or stage monitor while sending a balanced XLR out to the board.
It is housed in a rugged 3mm extruded aluminum enclosure with protected switches, so it is just as comfortable on a touring pedalboard as it is in a studio rack drawer. If you need a DI that does not color your tone and simply works every time, this is one we would confidently put in line on our own rigs.
