Description
What Makes This Bass Special: Companies have to continue to make new products to stay relevant in a constantly changing market, but sometimes they just had it right in the first place. This 1962 reissue P Bass is an excellent example of something that was done right many decades ago. The finish on both the body and neck have gracefully aged to a beautiful vintage tint. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and playable, and the light weight body makes this bass well balanced and easy on the shoulder. The gorgeous rosewood fingerboard is dark and smooth and is so well contrasted by the vintage style tortoise pickguard. The pickup sounds fantastic and the tone is everything we love about great Fender basses. Arriving to you with a fresh pro set-up by the experts at Cream City Music, you’ll be able to thoroughly enjoy the newest member of your collection right out of the box.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, and very light surface scratches. The outer edges of the body show wear and the side dot markers have had most of the white worn away but the positions are still well defined and visible. The bass has a true vintage vibe and sets-up and plays incredibly well.
Neck: Slim maple with a rosewood fingerboard. White dot inlays and white side dot markers (largely worn away, see photos). The open geared tuners work perfectly and the headstock has a single vintage style string guide. 1.70” nut width and 34” scale length.
Body: Solid contoured alder. 3 ply tortoise pickguard, thumb rest, and chrome 4 saddle adjustable bridge. Bass weighs 8lbs 7.5oz.
Electronics: Single P Bass pickup measures 10.68K ohms. Single volume and single tone controls with chrome knurled knobs. All electronics have been tested and are in perfect working order.
Case: Tweed hardshell case included.
