Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a very interesting Japanese-made Gretsch Elliot Easton model that is likely from the late 80s. While some features like the pickups would lead one to believe it is simply an Electromatic, the build quality, recessed output jack and overall feel of the guitar lead us to believe is likely an early Japanese-made model made just before they were using Elliot Easton’s name on the guitar. Features include a Bigsby tailpiece with Adjusto-Matic bridge, dual Gretschbucker pickups, and a super comfortable three-piece mahogany neck.
Condition: Great shape overall! There are just a few very light surface scratches throughout the guitar and some buckle rash on the back. There are a few small finish imperfections on the guitar; one on the lower bass side bout and one on the back towards the middle. These are both minor and only cosmetic. There is also some very light pitting in the finish in some areas throughout the back and sides but this is also very minor and hardly visible. The fingerboard and frets are super clean with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with a bound top in metallic green finish. Bigsby tailpiece with an Adjusto-matic bridge. Gretsch Arrow control knobs and a pearloid pickguard. Gold hardware throughout.
Neck: Super comfortable three-piece mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Neo-classic thumbnail inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Bound headstock with sealed tuners, 25” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Gretschbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume controls, master volume control, a 3-way tone switch and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 7.49K Ohms.
Bridge: 8.13K Ohms.
Weight: 9lbs, 12.0oz.
