Description

What makes this guitar special? Although the Dakota Red finish on this guitar looks awesome and isn’t as available as it used to be, the real highlight of this guitar is its neck. Most notably, it has a limited edition channel bound neck, which, for anyone unaware, means that the top side of the neck has been routed to fit the fingerboard, essentially constructed like a massive inlay. Not only does it look slick, but feels even better. In addition, Fender has topped it off with a hand-oiled finish that allows players to move up and down the neck with minimal friction and maximum ease and comfort. If all that isn’t enough, this is an incredibly clean guitar for being used, yet since it is, you get the benefit of a used price tag, so don’t miss your opportunity to snatch this player’s piece up before it disappears.

Condition: This Limited Edition Channel Bound Stratocaster is in fantastic condition overall and plays just as well. It does have a few spots of light surface scratches throughout the body but is still extremely clean. It even still has the pickguard plastic and “American Standard” sticker. The neck is straight and truss rod functions perfectly as it should. The frets show only very light wear and still have a ton of life in them.

Body: Alder body with a Dakota Red finish. 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles. 3-ply white parchment pickguard. Nickel/chrome hardware.

Neck: Hand-oiled maple neck with modern C profile. Channel bound rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets and 9.5”-14” compound radius. Sealed chrome tuning machines.

Electronics: Custom Shop Fat ‘50s Single-Coil Strat pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge. 5-position pickup selector, 1 volume control, 2 tone controls (no-load tone control).

Weight: 7 lbs 13.6 oz

Playability/Sound: The pickups are slightly more robust than standard Strat single coils and have a little more tone definition. The hand-oiled neck feels absolutely fantastic and moves effortlessly with no stick or catch. The modern C profile is comfortable for a variety of playing styles.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
