Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a beautifully warm Taylor in terms of both look and sound. The cedar top adds softness to the guitar’s overall delivery that makes it sound pleasantly smooth, yet has excellent richness in its mid-range. It has a slightly compressed low end and a top end that has a lot of round chime. The cuts of mahogany used for this guitar have a ton of variation and movement and add a good amount of character to its overall look. All framed in a creamy hue of grained ivoroid binding and appointments, this super clean Taylor will make an excellent player for just about anywhere from at home to on stage, especially with Taylor’s proprietary Expression System 2 amplifying its inherent tone with matchless transparency.
Condition: This Taylor is in excellent condition overall, if not better. There are only a few light surface scratches throughout the body and neck, and a very small ding here or there, but otherwise is in fantastic shape. The frets show only very light wear and still have a full lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Grained ivoroid double bound grand auditorium with a solid Western red cedar top, and tropical mahogany back and sides. Single ring rosette. Ebony bridge with compensated micarta saddle. Tortoiseshell pickguard.
Neck: Medium round tropical mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with grained ivoroid inlays. Sealed chrome tuning machines. Bound headstock with ebony overlay.
Electronics: Taylor Expression System 2 electronics system. 1 x volume, 1 x treble, 1 x bass control.
Weight: 4 lbs 7.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The profile and satin finish make this guitar’s neck incredibly easy to move around and plays very similar to an electric. The overall tone has a lot of warmth and a rich mid-range response, good low end with a bit of compression, and a mild top end with a good amount of chime.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
