This Gretsch G5191 Tim Armstrong Signature hollow body pays tribute to Armstrong, and it's a stellar guitar. Its bound single-cutaway hollow body gives it a huge tone and great resonance, and its one-piece maple neck fits the hand like a glove. Complete with dual Black Top Filter'Tron™ humbuckers, this Grestch is great for rock and punk players seeking a top-notch hollow body guitar.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition with minimal wear. There's a few very light nicks and minor signs of playwear across the body finish, but it's in great shape overall.
Body: The G5191 Tim Armstrong sports a 5-ply maple body capped with an arched maple top, giving it a wonderfully bright and open sound. It looks great, too, thanks to its matte black finish, cream binding, and gold hardware that create an elegant aesthetic. Complete with an Adjusto-Matic bridge, Grover tuners, and a "Harp" style tailpiece, this beauty is sure to turn heads.
Neck: Riffing on the G5191 is an addicting experience, courtesy of its matte urethane finished maple neck and silky-smooth rosewood fingerboard. All 22 jumbo frets are in excellent shape with minimal wear, the neck is straight, and the truss rod is fully functional.
Electronics: Powering the G5191 is a set of Black Top Filter'Tron humbuckers that give the G5191 its rich, open sound. If you're looking for a little more sonic versatility, don't worry - with volume and tone controls for each pickup, a master volume control, and a 3-way pickup selector switch, this Gretsch has a wealth of excellent tones on tap.
