Description

What makes this guitar special: A reissue of one of the most distinct guitars in history, this 62 Bison is a solid-playing guitar with a modern build and a ton of vintage charm. More than anything, three things set this guitar apart from others. The first is its shape, which is easily the most noticeable. The second and third are its pickups and pickup selector system. It may seem confusing to use two different switches to combine the pickups, but it’s much more intuitive than it looks. The A/B selector essentially works as two separate banks that each provide an array of pickup combinations. On the A side, you can get the famous Split Sound (neck and bridge combo), Bass (neck solo), Treble (bridge solo), and Wild Dog (bridge solo with slightly boosted output) and on the B side, you can get a full Split Sound (all three engaged), Bass (neck and middle), Treble (middle solo), and Wild Dog (middle and bridge), all of which provide unique tonal responses and providing a vast range of tone. At its heart is a triad of Burns Tri-Sonic pickups which capture a ton of its original vintage vibe and classic jangle. Plus, this one includes its original hardshell case and a professional setup so it plays as great as it looks and sounds.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall if not better. It shows only minor dings here and there and various light scratches throughout, but is still in pretty great shape for a used guitar and still looks, plays, and sounds the same. The frets show very little wear and still have an absolute ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway contoured nato body in Black finish. 3-ply black pickguard. Half-knurled black control knobs. Burns deluxe vintage-style tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles.

Neck: Medium depth C shape hard rock maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Burns branded and textured tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale.

Electronics: Burns Tri-Sonic pickups. 1 x volume, 1 x tone, 1 x A/B pickup selector, 1 x 4-way split sound, bass, treble, wild dog pickup selector switch.

Weight: 8 lbs 10.3 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck on this guitar plays as easy as any and will be easy to adjust to for most players. The pickups have a ton of killer old-school jangle and vintage vibe in every position. The combination of the A/B selector and Split Sound/Wild Dog selector knobs provide every combination of pickups you could hope for, each with its own unique tonal response.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
