Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a great acoustic-electric classical with a highly striking appearance. The spalted maple top and matching headstock are the aesthetic centerpieces of this guitar, as the grains’ natural highlights, outlines, and flaming create a complex look with serious character. They are beautifully complemented by gold hardware, tortoiseshell binding, and a deep ebony fingerboard that add both bits of flash and depth respectively. Sonically, its inherent acoustic qualities are surprising for its size, as it still covers a majority of the spectrum well from its pleasantly compressed low end, rich and meaty mid-range, and silky smooth highs, all of which translate perfectly with its Fishman electronics system. The Prefix system itself offers a 4-band EQ, phase switch, notch filter, and volume so you have ultimate control over this versatile classical acoustic electric.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does have a few small dings, dents, scuffs, and light scratches, but largely remains very clean. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Single cutaway braced mahogany back and sides and spalted maple top in Natural finish. Standard classical bridge. Bass-side mounted electronics system. Tortoiseshell top binding.

Neck: Slim to medium depth D shape mahogany neck and 20” radius ebony fingerboard. 1 7/8” nut width. 3-per-side classical tuning machines. 21 medium jumbo frets.

Electronics: Fishman Acoustic Matrix pickup and Prefix Pro electronics system with bass, middle, treble, and brilliance sliders. Phase switch, notch, and volume controls.

Weight: 4 lbs 13.2 oz

Playability/Sound: Even with the wider nut width of a classical, the neck on this guitar plays very easily, especially with the smooth heel contour. The inherent acoustic tone has a surprisingly good range for its smaller body with a pleasantly compressed low end, rich and punchy mid-range and silky smooth highs. The Fishman preamp system translates all of this perfectly, yet still provides enough EQ to allow players to get it dialed in easily in live settings.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
