What’s special about this bass: This is a gorgeous left handed Carvin LB50 bass made from Koa in a stunning natural finish. The LB50 is one of Carvin’s most successful bass models and to find a left-handed Koa version is relatively rare! Features include a Koa body and neck, dual humbucking pickups with coil splitting and phase reversal and a rich Ebony fingerboard. This bass has a huge, extremely versatile sound thanks to the pickups and electronics!
Condition: Very good shape overall! There are only a few light surface scratches and some tiny dings throughout the entire instrument. For its age this thing is very clean! The fingerboard and frets are in very good shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: solid double cutaway Koa body in natural finish. The wood grain is absolutely beautiful and shows some light flame figuring that changes depending on the lighting and angle. Top-load tailpiece/bridge with four individual saddles, knurled control knobs, mini toggle switches and a black back cover plate.
Neck: Super comfortable slender Koa neck with a dark Ebony fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Schaller tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Active electronicswith dual humbuckers in the neck and bridge with master volume control, pickup pan control, 2-band EQ controls, coil split mini toggles, a phase reversal mini toggle and a 3-way selector switch. This bass features a regular mono output jack and a stereo output jack as well. Both jacks must be plugged in for the stereo jack to function.
