The MT2 Mandola is Colling's fully appointed mandola with a seasoned Red spruce top and premium maple back and sides. With a comfortable 15.9" scale length, it can be played just like a mandolin, but the low C string adds a whole new dimension of musical possibilities. Its superb tone, elegant stylings and unmatched playability make the MT2 Mandola a natural to please the most discerning eyes and ears.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped flame maple neck with tortoise binding & white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Ebony headstock veneer with mother of pearl inlays. Elite open-back strip tuners with ebonoid buttons. 1 5/16" nut width; 15.9" scale length.
Body: A-style body shape in sunburst finish. Solid spruce top with dual F-holes. Collings original tailpiece with compensated ebony bridge. Solid flame maple back & sides. Tortoise binding on the top & back. There are no electronics & the mandola weighs 2 lbs 7.8 oz.
