Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a stunning Cordoba GK Pro flamenco guitar. Crafted in China, this model features solid Spanish Cypress back and sides and solid European Spruce construction, which correlates to a brighter, snappier tone that will certainly cut through the mix with ease. It was also designed to have a slightly thinner body, neck, and nut width, as well as a soft cutaway and on board electronics, to cater more towards the gigging musician, but the quick attack and fantastic projection makes this a suitable acoustic instrument as well. If you want to plug in, the Fishman Problend system does an excellent job of translating the natural acoustic sound, plus it allows for the tone to be further sculpted by the 3 band EQ. Featuring a professional set up from our in house tech, the guitar is guaranteed to play great right out of the case.

Condition: The guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does possess some very light surface scratches but is otherwise free of any significant dings, dents, or other marks. It is in fantastic shape for a used instrument and has been well cared for. The frets are excellent shape and have tons of life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.

Body: Classical-sized body with a soft cutaway, solid Spanish Cypress back and sides and bound solid European Spruce top in high gloss natural finish. Pearloid and ebony “Esteso” weave rosette. Indian rosewood bridge with bone saddle and inlaid pearl tie block. Flamenco-style Spanish fan bracing. Clear Flamenco tap plate.

Neck:  12 frets to the body Mahogany neck with a medium thickness U shape profile (.82” at the 1st fret, .95” at the 9th fret). Unbound ebony fingerboard with no front facing inlay but has white side dot position markers. Slotted maple veneered headstock with Cordoba premium gold tuners and ebony-style buttons. 1 15/16” nut width and 25.6” scale length.

Electronics: Fishman Prefix Problend on board electronic system. 3 band EQ, blend slider, master volume, notch control, frequency knob, and phase switch.

Weight: 3 lbs. 7.7 oz.

Playability/Sound: Constructed with a slightly thinner body depth, neck and nut width than a traditional Spanish guitar, this GK Pro fits comfortably in the hand and naturally sits in a very nice playing position. The cutaway provides fantastic access to the highest registers and maneuvering around the fingerboard is an absolute dream due to the wider string spacing. The combination of the European Spruce top and Spanish Cypress back/sides allow for a bright snappy tone that cuts through the mix very well in unamplified settings. Plugged in, the acoustic tone is translated very well, but further tone shaping is possible with the on electronics.

Case: Includes original Cordoba hard shell Humidicase and original paperwork.
