Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a stunning and remarkably clean Cordoba Solista SP classical guitar. Handcrafted in Spain, this guitar draws from the country’s rich history of classical guitar building, which is abundantly evident in the craftsmanship and attention to detail of this instrument. Featuring a solid Indian Rosewood back and sides and solid European Spruce top, the Solista offers a warm and melodic sound that is ideal for all players.
Condition: The Solista is in excellent condition overall. It does have some extremely superficial surface scratches. They do not appear to be playing scratches, but rather swirl marks from polishing the guitar. Overall, it is in fantastic shape and incredibly clean for a used instrument. The frets show minimal play wear and still have plenty of playing life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Classical-sized body with solid Indian Rosewood back and sides and bound Solid European spruce top in a high gloss natural finish. Inlaid wood mosaic rosette. Indian rosewood bridge with bone saddle and bone inlaid tie block.
Neck: 12 frets to the body Spanish cedar neck with a medium thickness U shape profile. Unbound ebony fingerboard with no front-facing inlay, but does have white side dots. Slotted, hand-carved, headstock with Cordoba Premium Gold tuners with black ebony buttons. 2” nut width and 25.6” scale length.
Weight: 3 lbs. 14.9 oz.
Playability/Sound: The medium thickness U shaped neck is very comfortable and easy to play. The 2 inch nut width and wider string spacing allows for easy chording in the first position as well as intricate single note playing without your fingers feeling crowded. The European Spruce top is remarkably sensitive to even the lightest fingerstyle playing, but can still produce a large amount of volume and projection when pushed. Paired with the Indian Rosewood back and sides, this is one incredibly warm and rich sounding classical guitar.
Case: Includes original hard shell case.
