John D'Angelico's original archtop design is legendary, and the EXL-1 is its modern day counterpart. Featuring a carved spruce top with gorgeous flame maple back & sides, floating mini humbucker & elegant appointments throughout. This beautiful guitar is a real head-turner & offers a warm, rich tone. Professionally set up by Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with multi-layer binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Old style headstock design with mother of pearl inlays & stairstep truss rod cover. Grover Imperial tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straigth & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single cutaway, hollow body archtop with multi-layer binding on the top & back.
Carved spruce top with bound F-holes. Stairstep trapeze tailpiece with a compensated ebony saddle on a floating base. Stairstep tortoise pickguard with multi-layer binding. Flame maple back & sides with an arched back. 17" lower bout width & gold hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 1.5 oz.
Electronics: Floating mini humbucker. Master volume & tone controls mounted to the top of the pickguard. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
