Description
Gibson manufactured the original Epiphone Frontier in its Kalamazoo factory from 1958 until 1970. This gorgeous sounding, square shoulder dreadnought was proudly handcrafted in Bozeman, MT by Gibson's finest acoustic luthiers. Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top along with solid figured maple back & sides, Indian rosewood fretboard, traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, gold-plated Gotoh Keystone tuners, the iconic "lariat & cactus" themed pickguard & a 25.5" scale length for a rich, powerful tone. It comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup, so it's stage & studio-ready right out of the case. Finished in beautiful Frontier Burst & professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Gently used with various nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches, but really nice shape overall.
Neck: Rounded "C" mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl slotted rectangle inlays. Legend frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Gotoh Keystone tuners & 2-ply "bullet" shaped truss rod cover. 1.725" nut width with bone nut; 25.5" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought finished in Frontier Burst. Solid Sitka spruce top with traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing & 7-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl dot inlays & bone saddle. Large tortoise pickguard with lariat & cactus motif. Solid maple back & sides with 5-ply back binding & some pretty flame figuring. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 10 oz.
Electronics: LR Baggs VTC with soundhole-mounted volume & tone controls.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
