The Jack Casady Signature Bass was designed by Casady in collaboration with Epiphone, and is the culmination of years of experimentation by the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna bassist to find an instrument with superb, balanced electric tone and the response of an acoustic bass. Great shape & a superb player thanks to a pro set up from Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean with various mild surface scratches.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with white side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-gear tuners are in perfect working condition. 1.6535" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition. Unoriginal truss rod cover, but original is included.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. 3-point top-loading bride with adjustable saddles. Unoriginal large white pearloid pickguard, but the original is included. Bass weighs 8 lbs 1.8 oz.
Electronics: JCB-1 Low Impedance humbucker. Master volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-position tone switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Epiphone hardshell case included.
