Description

This Joe Pass Emperor shows off an absolutely gorgeous, highly figured maple back & sides, matched with a spruce top that delivers rich, powerful tones. This guitar is loud! Even before you plug in, it has a warm, naturally acoustic voice, just perfect for jazz. The action is perfect & plays superbly up & down the fretboard. Professionally set up & ready to perform straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & just general mild play wear. Overall the guitar looks nice & has a great vibe to it.

Neck: Maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl vine inlay & Joe Pass truss rod cover. Gold diecast tuners work perfectly. The Faust sticker on the back of the headstock is in reference to a local music shop where the guitar originated. Faust is no longer in business, but we see many guitars in this area with that same sticker on them. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Multi-bound, single-cutaway archtop with dual F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece with floating rosewood bridge. 5-ply tortoise pickguard with Joe Pass signature. Gold hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 11.3 oz.

Electronics: Dual humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 8.69K ohms; Neck - 8.51K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with amber "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Hardshell case included.
