First introduced in 1987, the StingRay5 has become one of the most iconic bass guitars in history. Features include an enhanced contour that is rounded for more comfort in any playing position, a sculpted neck joint for uninhibited upper fret access to all 22 stainless steel frets, and lightweight aluminum hardware providing a lighter more balanced instrument. The new and improved StingRay5 Special electronics feature more powerful neodymiummagnets for increased output and a new 18-volt preamp for extra clean headroom without clipping. Solid roadworthy construction, elegant pickguard, 4+1 tuning key configuration, and the ever popular Music Man humbucking pickup, all of which combined produce a look, feel and sound that is remarkably unmistakable.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition - excpetionally clean & still like new. The plastic wrap is still over the pickguard!
Neck: C-shape roasted maple neck with 11" radius ebony fingerboard & white dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-gear Music Man tuners with round string tree. 1.75" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in Raspberry Burst. Top-loaing Music Man bridge with five adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply white pearloid pickguard & black hardware. Bass weighs 8 lbs 0.1 oz.
Electronics: Single Humbucker with Neodymium magnets. 3-band active preamp with 18 volts of headroom; vol, treble, mid, bass. 3-way selector switch & knurled control knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
