First introduced in 1987, the StingRay5 has become one of the most iconic bass guitars in history. Features include an enhanced contour that is rounded for more comfort in any playing position, a sculpted neck joint for uninhibited upper fret access to all 22 stainless steel frets, and lightweight aluminum hardware providing a lighter more balanced instrument. The new and improved StingRay5 Special electronics feature more powerful neodymiummagnets for increased output and a new 18-volt preamp for extra clean headroom without clipping. Solid roadworthy construction, elegant pickguard, 4+1 tuning key configuration, and the ever popular Music Man humbucking pickup, all of which combined produce a look, feel and sound that is remarkably unmistakable. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition with some mild surface scratches.
Neck: C-shape roasted maple neck with 11" radius rosewood fingerboard & white dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Open-gear Music Man tuners with round string tree. 1.75" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in Metallic Blue. Top-loaing Music Man bridge with five adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply white pearloid pickguard & black hardware. Bass weighs 8 lbs 6.3 oz.
Electronics: Dual humbuckers with Neodymium magnets and 18 volt, active EQ. 5-way selector switch & knurled control knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
