Meticulous attention to detail and expert craftsmanship come together in this stunning Masterbuilt Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster. Crafted by one of the Custom Shop's most respected builders, Greg Fessler, this guitar is truly in a league of its own. From its gorgeous Journeyman Relic finish treatment to its incredible-sounding Josefina hand-wound pickups, this Strat is perfect for musicians seeking a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind guitar.
Quality starts in the tonewoods, so Fessler built this guitar using a carefully selected 2-piece alder body. This provides a strong tonal foundation, giving it a present sound with punchy upper mids and exceptional sustain. The body was then coated in a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, allowing the wood to breathe and resonate better for a richer, more natural sound. To cap it all off, Fessler gave this Strat a Journeyman Relic finish, making it look like a well-loved decades-old guitar that's seen countless hours of stage time.
Moving onto the feel, the Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster plays just like an old-school late '50s Fender. Its 1-piece quartersawn maple neck sports a '57 style soft "V" profile, giving it a comfortable, period-correct feel. Guitarists will also appreciate its 9.5" radius fingerboard and 21 narrow tall frets that accommodate rhythm work and lead playing equally well.
The powerhouse of the Greg Fessler Masterbuilt Stratocaster is its trio of Josefina hand-wound Fat '50s Strat pickups that flawlessly recreate that coveted late '50s single-coil sound. These pickups churn out full-bodied lows, crystal-clear highs, and punchy mids - they're pretty much the best pickups you can find if you're chasing that vintage tone. What's more, they're wired slightly hot, giving them more output, a great feature for players looking to hit their amp with some subtle drive.
Other premium appointments include an American vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, and a genuine bone nut, all of which contribute to this guitar's unrivaled sound and feel. Reach out today if you've been searching for a world-class, masterfully crafted Fender Stratocaster.
