Description
What makes this guitar special: Created using a design by James D’Aquisto, this Fender Custom Shop certainly lives up to the expectations associated with its namesake. An absolutely stunning guitar with a great sound to match, this D’Aquisto Elite is from Fender’s later forays into the world of archtop construction. Based upon our research, we are able to narrow the production year to 1994-2002, but cannot determine an exact year. Featuring a laminated maple top, back and sides, this guitar has the look of a high end instrument, but at a much more reasonable price tag. Plus, it resists feedback at higher volumes as well as help with the overall sustain. The Seymour Duncan humbucker fits the overall vibe of the instrument perfectly, adding a little extra punch to the sound, but translating the acoustic archtop tone quite nicely. Professionally set up by our in-house technician, this guitar is guaranteed to play great right out of the case.
Condition: The guitar is in excellent condition overall. There are some extremely light surface scratches and a very small nick on the back of the instrument, but is remarkably clean for a used guitar. The frets are in excellent shape and have tons of life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.

Playability/Sound: The medium thickness neck is very comfortable to hold and maneuvering around the fingerboard is incredibly easy with excellent access to the highest registers. Acoustically, the archtop has a lovely warm response that really focuses in once the strings are hit a little harder. Plugged in, the Seymour Duncan pickup adds a little extra punch to the sound, but overall translates the acoustic tone quite nicely.
