Description
The Johnny A. Signature Strat is an amalgamation of his four favorite model years - 1963 through 1966. The select two-piece alder body with off-center seam is paired with a 3A bird's eye maple neck featuring a '65-style "Oval C" profile & contoured heel. The round-lam rosewood fingerboard has a comfortable 7.25" radius & 21 medium jumbo (6150) frets. The neck & middle pickups are hand-wound 11/56 models, while a steel bottom plate on the custom bridge pickup delivers livelier tone with more wide-ranging response. All are fixed to a 3-ply mint pickguard along with a five-way switch & Strat Blender wiring with Tone-Saver bleed circuitry. Other premium features include Custom Shop synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, bone nut & wing string tree with tall metal spacer. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with some mild surface scratches & a bit of finish chipping around the back side of the tuners.
Neck: '65-style oval "C" shape maple neck with tons of gorgeous bird's eye figuring. 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard with dark clay dot inlays. Medium Jumbo frets are clean with no wear. Vintage-style tuners & single string tree. 1.625" nut width; 25.5" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Sunset Glow Metallic. Tremolo bridge with bent saddles & gold hardware. Original bridge cover & trem arm included. 3-ply mint pickguard & single-ply white trem cover. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.7 oz.
Electronics: Hand wound 11/56 (neck & middle) with hand wound Johnny A custom single coil (bridge). Master volume & dual tone controls with 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA, Shop Floor Traveler & accessories.
