Description
The neck on this guitar originated from a Clapton Strat that was finished in Pewter. The previous owner took the neck off that guitar & put it on this Clapton body finished in black. So it's a Clapton Strat through & through, just with a different neck. Same killer tone & smooth feel as any other Clapton Strat & professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with various surface scratches along with some minor dents & dings, but quite clean for the most part.
Neck: V-shaped maple neck with maple fingerboard & black dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Vintage-style tuners & single string tree with Eric Clapton signature on the front of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in black. Tremolo bridge with vintage-style bent saddles. Trem arm included with black cap. Single-ply white pickguard & trem cover. There's a tiny crack in one corner of the trem cover. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 13.9 oz.
Electronics: Three Noiseless single coils with 5-way selector switch. Master volume & dual tone controls with white skirted knobs. Stock Clapton electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
