The Fernandes MY-115S Kiyoshi Signature Model is a late-90s Japanese-market performance guitar built during Fernandes' peak artist-driven era. Designed for Kiyoshi of Media Youth and hide with Spread Beaver, this model blends aggressive Visual Kei styling with serious stage functionality. Its maple and mahogany body combination delivers a focused midrange punch with articulate highs, while the thin, flat-radius neck profile makes it an effortless player for fast runs, wide bends, and modern techniques. This is very much a purpose-built performance instrument rather than a traditional superstrat clone.
What truly sets the MY-115S apart is its Fernandes Sustainer system paired with a high-output bridge humbucker and Wilkinson VS100 tremolo. The 3-mode Sustainer allows harmonic, blend, and infinite sustain options, opening up everything from soaring lead tones to controlled feedback textures at any volume. It's an inspiring guitar to play, especially if you're at all into late 90s/early 2000's era J-Rock. With Fernandes closing it's manufacturer's doors, there is no chance of this guitar ever returning to production, and it's all original. It's one of those oddball signature models that you don't see very often but for the right Japanese Guitar collector or J-Rock head, it's a no brainer.
Cosmetic Condition:
This guitar is in really good condition for its age. The finish presents cleanly with light signs of typical handling and use. There are no major structural issues. It shows honest wear consistent with a well-cared-for instrument from the late 1990s to early 2000s.
Neck:
Maple neck with a slim, fast shred-style profile and rosewood fingerboard. The flatter radius makes string bending and fast legato work feel effortless. Dot inlays, 25.5 inch scale length, and approximately 1 11/16 inch nut width. The frets show minimal playwear and have plenty of life remaining. Equipped with Gotoh sealed tuners that hold tuning reliably, especially when paired with the Wilkinson VS100 tremolo system. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
Maple and mahogany construction with a striking transparent finish that highlights a unique but aggressive, offset body reminiscent of Fernandes' Raven body style.
Electronics:
Loaded with a Fernandes VH-402 bridge humbucker and CD-100 Sustainer driver in the neck position. The 3-mode Sustainer system functions properly, offering harmonic, blend, and infinite sustain modes. Controls are responsive and operate as intended.
Case:
Includes a non-original gig bag and trem arm(in gig bag front pocket).
