Description
What’s special about this mandolin: This is a newer model Gibson A-9 mandolin and it delivers all the warm tone one would expect from a Gibson. It features an A-style body with a tone bar-braced spruce top and thin satin lacquer finish, a dovetail neck joint and a super comfortable rounded “V’ neck profile. The satin finish really creates an open, warm sound and the body design results in excellent resonance and volume!
Condition: Excellent condition! There are just a few tiny surface scratches and dings throughout the mandolin. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. All parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: A-style body with a bound spruce top and maple back and sides in brown finish. There is some subtle yet lovely flame figuring throughout areas of the back and sides. Nickel tailpiece and cover with The Gibson logo engraved on the top, a compensated rosewood bridge and dual f-holes.
Neck: Figured maple neck with a rounded V profile. Ebony fingerboard with white side dot fret markers and a 1 1/16” nut. Four-on-a-strip open-gear tuners with pearloid buttons, 14 29/32” scale length.
