This gorgeous R7 is a faithful recreation of the outstanding Gold Top guitars Gibson produced in the 50's. Featuring historic appointments such as one-piece mahogany neck and body construction, as well as a period-accurate formula for the Gold finish, this guitar takes all of the features that made the original '57 legendary and uses them to recreate a truly convincing vintage playing experience. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aging treatment which equates to mostly weather checking, however, there are various tiny nicks & dings throughout the guitar as well as fairly deep scratch in the back of the body.
Neck: Beefy, one-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with maple top in Gold finish & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 10.1 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Gibson BurstBuckers with cream bezels & nickel covers. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. 3-way toggle switch & Bumble Bee caps. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
