This gorgeous '59 was actually sold brand new out of our shop earlier this year & the customer just recently traded it back in, so it's still in great shape!
Inspired by the legendary Beauty of the Burst book, this lovely Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS recreates the look, feel & tone of the iconic instruments from that era. Featuring a figured AAA maple top paired with a mahogany body, this Les Paul delivers the rich, resonant tone & sustain that defines the '59 Burst sound.
The R9 V1 Carmelita neck profile ensures authentic vintage playability, while the rosewood fingerboard & aged cellulose trapezoid inlays add a touch of classic elegance. Under the hood, a pair of CustomBucker Alnico 3 humbuckers capture the warmth, clarity & bite of a well-loved vintage Les Paul. Hand-wired with dual volume & tone controls, this guitar offers exceptional dynamic response, making it ideal for everything from smooth blues to fiery rock leads. Finished in Beauty of Burst VOS, this meticulously aged instrument pays tribute to one of the most revered Les Pauls in history, with every detail crafted for historical accuracy & premium performance.
Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition & exceptionally clean with only some very mild surface scratches.
Neck: Solid, one-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. The dye from the neck finish has bled a bit into the binding, giving it more of a pinkish color. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with flame maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & jackplate. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 5.9 oz. & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Gibson CustomBucker Alnico 3 humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA, hang tags & original shipping box.
