Jimi Hendrix hand-painted 1967 Flying V is a near mythical instrument. Purchased in 1967 & used on tour in Europe during 1967 & '68, the guitar, with its swirling psychedelic designs, highlights the spirit of the times & showcases Jimi's unique artistic expression. This numbered instrument is one of a limited hand-painted edition in the spirit of Jimi's inspiration. Includes the original COA & Gibson paperwork along with the original hardshell case. Professionally set up & ready to play or just admire.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being twenty years old with only some mild play wear - minor nicks & dings along with surface scratches, but quite clean for the most part.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with white side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners with double-ring Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany "V" body finished in Ebony & hand-painted just like Jimi's original Love Drops. Tremolo tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. 3-ply cream pickguard & nickel hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 7.7 oz.
Electronics: Dual Gibson humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & master tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA, paperwork & accessories.
