This gorgeous R7 is a faithful recreation of the outstanding Gold Top guitars Gibson produced in the 50's. Featuring historic appointments such as one-piece mahogany neck and body construction, as well as a period-accurate formula for the Gold finish, this guitar takes all of the features that made the original '57 legendary and uses them to recreate a truly convincing vintage playing experience. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, buckle rash, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a super cool vibe.
Neck: Beefy, one-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots.
Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson Deluxe tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with maple Goldtop & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & brass jackplate. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 6.4 oz. & is very resonant!
Electronics: Gibson BurstBuckers with cream bezels & nickel covers. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. 3-way toggle switch & Bumble Bee caps. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is a bit rough, but still pretty solid & serves its purpose well.
