This black beauty is absolutely fabulous, offering all the charm we've come to love about jumbos & delivering a tone that is simply unmatched in the acoustic world - rich & powerful, yet dynamic with a defined clarity throughout the registers. a real powerhouse & definite must-have for any Gibson aficionado.
Cosmetic Condition: Various surface scratches throughout; nicks & dings & general play wear. There is a very minor impact crack in the treble side of the body, upper bout that was not repaired, but isn't too bad really. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an ultra cool vibe.
Neck: Maple neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl crown inlays. Frets are in great shape with almost no wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl holly inlay. Gold tuners with keystone buttons in perfect working condition. Gibson Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, jumbo body. Solid spruce top with rosewood "mustache" bridge & mother of pearl inlays. Large tortoise pickguard with floral motif & multi-ring rosette. Solid flame maple back & sides with checkered center strip. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 14.2 oz.
Electronics: Active under-saddle pickup with 9-volt battery back attached to the neck block.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is pretty rough with lots of wear & tear. A portion of the back clasp is missing.
