Description
Made for only a brief moment in the mid to late '90s, this lovely EC-30 Blues King Electro was renamed the J-185 EC in '99. It features a solid spruce top with gorgeous flame maple back & sides. Prefix Plus onboard electronics ensure the guitar is stage-ready. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with some typical play wear - various little nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking, but pretty good shape overall.
Neck: Five-piece maple/walnut neck with beautiful flame figuring. Cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear & have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Gibson & floral inlays. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners function smoothly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound, small jumbo size body with cutaway. Solid spruce top with tortoise pickguard & abalone rosette. Ebony bridge with cream end pins. Solid maple sides with arched maple back showing off lots of brilliant flame figuring. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 9.2 oz.
Electronics: Fishman Prefix Plus preamp with side-mounted controls.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
