Description
The top of the line in the Firebird family, this gorgeous model VII is an absolute gem, featuring a trio of mini humbuckers & gold hardware - stunning! But honestly, the real eye-catcher would have to be the Metallic Red finish, which you really don't see many of these! A dynamite player, with powerhouse tone & superb playability. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition overall & exceptionally clean for its age. The only thing we noticed is a little bit of crackling in the finish along the neck, just below the binding & a tiny bit in the bass-side neck pocket. Really for the most part the guitar looks beautiful & has a great vibe to it.
Neck: Medium profile (not too thick not too thin) mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. "Banjo" tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid mahogany wings. Maestro tremolo tailpiece with Lyre engraged cover & ABR-1 bridge. 3-ply aged white pickguard with red Firebird logo & gold hardware. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 8.4 oz.
Electronics: Three Gibson mini humbuckers with gold bezels & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The combination lock button broke off, but the other two latches work just fine.
